Best Sunrise at Angkor Wat
Before walking further into the front of the temple.
Some of us prefers watching the sunrise at the city, some in nature and some at their own backyard. So what really qualifies as the Best Sunrise you ever seen in your life? For me, the place never really much matter.
I had to wake up really early at about 4-ish in the morning and took a tuk tuk to Angkor Wat. Why so early?? Well, i have to register myself to enter the temple, take a passport photo and then was given this little paper ID to keep at all times during my visit. It also states the date of visit that i am allowed to enter. I bought a 1 day pass for USD $20. With this ID, i am able to enter the temples to watch the sunrise.
Safe travels.
My 1 day pass, cute huh? :p
At the front of the temple, entering a small door that leads to Angkor Wat.
Arrived at the "postcard" spot where everyone else and me awaits for the moment.
The sun slowly rising higher.
I feel that it was quite worth it and very fulfilling to watch the sunrise. This was probably the only day i looked forward in waking up really early. It wasn't as crowded as i thought it would be, thank God. If you have the chance to come by Siem Reap, this site is surely not to be missed!
The key is to arrive early and be sure to visit when its the low season where less tourist are around to make this moment a more pleasant experience.I feel that when you witness a sunrise, you witness God's amazing beauty in action. No matter where you watch it. We all praised it with "Ooohs" and "Aaahs" and sometimes we silently watch it. Every sunrise is a new beginning, use it at your best.
Opportunities are like sunrises. If you wait too long, you miss them. - William Arthur Ward
Safe travels.
