Angkor Wat: The Lost City

2 years ago, I met a Taiwanese girl, Sandy, in the beach of Nha Trang. She recommended me to visit Thap Ba/Po Nagar ruins, so i did - you can have a flashback here. One of the things she said was,"If you love Thap Ba, you will love Angkor Wat." So here i was, in the magical Kingdom of Cambodia. Prodding on the actual ruins of Angkor which is of course 100x way better than Thap Ba. I caught the sunrise here as well, read right here, if you are missing out.

In other worldly news, a day before Telegraph published an article "Mysterious earth mounds discovered by lasers reveal hidden Cambodian cities of Angkor Wat" And i like this piece of information given by the article: In all the lasers scanned 735 square miles of the Angkor region and the results revealed an entire cityscape.

Angkor is mystical - all arguments is invalid - its a whole other city in there. A UNESCO Heritage Site and the largest religious monument in the world, Angkor Wat dates back all the way to the 12th century. Its architecture, Khmer Architecture, has become a symbol of Cambodia which is shown in their national flag. Also, the architecture within Angkor Wat is also designed to represent Mount Meru, home of the Devas in hindu mythology. More information on the structure here.
